The Little Prince
Music, sand animation, and spoken word
This beloved fairy tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was first published in 1943. It beautifully explores themes of love, friendship, and loneliness. Although often associated with children, it resonates with adults as well.
In a unique artistic collaboration, this performance combines music, spoken word, and the rare art of sand animation to breathe new life into the story. Five internationally acclaimed performer-composers from various genres, including classical, jazz, soul, and singer-songwriting, create a fresh musical backdrop for each scene. Meanwhile, artist Anna Vidyaykina brings the tale to life visually through sand animation. The narration is provided by ORF moderator Daniela Knaller and her daughter Nora. It promises to be a captivating experience!
